RAG BALL 2012

The Jewel in the crown of the RAG 2012 Calendar, the RAG Ball is this year taking place on Tuesday 21st Februrary at the quirky Proud Cabaret Club near Monument Station. With a fabulous venue, free cocktails for the first 100 guests, a 241 cocktail happy hour and canapés provided, along with entertainment including a charity auction, burlesque performance, and a DJ until the small hours, this promises to be a night not to miss! As always, all proceeds go straight to the RAG charities, so you can enjoy the warm fuzzy feeling for that little bit longer!

Dress Code: Black Tie

RAG WEEK 2012: 4TH-10TH FEBRUARY 2012!

With Rag week just around the corner, we're calling all of you fine ladies and gentlemen to take out buckets once again in the name of good cheer and charity! Judging by the smashing result from Jingle RAG last term (over £16,000 raised- a record breaker!), you guys know the drill, but if you've forgotten how it works we'll be handing out buckets for you to RAG with from 6am-6pm from Monday 6th to Friday 10th February.

As a reward for all your hard work, we will be holding events on every night of the week ranging from glamorous to gay (not sure how else one might describe a RAG Truffle Shuffle). Starting with an overnight RAG RAID to a mystery location on Saturday 4th, and culminating in the RAG BALL on 21st February- a black tie event which is this year being held at Proud Cabaret near Monument Station, our events should cater towards all tastes!

More details will be announced shortly, but we've heard that there's some pretty sweet stash to be had...

JINGLE RAG 2011: 9TH DECEMBER 2011 6AM-6PM

Ladies and Gentlemen Jingle RAG 2011 is here!

Celebrate the 100th anniversary of RAG in true GKT style (complete with mulled wine and mince pies). Put on your scrubs, grab your buckets and wonder the streets of London collecting money for our wonderful RAG charities including:

*The Evelina Children's Hospital

*Medicinema

*The Guy's Hospital Cancer Centre

*Selected charities represented by KCL societies

Meet at Boland house at 6am to get the ball rolling or come along at any time during the day and help out the cause.

Prizes for whoever raises the most and for best costume! A great way to end the year before we all disappear for Christmas.

ABOUT RAG

It's our 100th anniversary of RAISING AND GIVING this year, and we want to do it in style.

Starting with the infamous RAG pub crawl on November 4th 2011, and continuing throughout the year, we, the RAG committee 2012 will endeavour to bring you the best events we can (as a suitable reward for going out and RAGGING the public silly), all in the name of charity! These events climax in RAG week (like freshers' week, but with more RAGGING and less awkward conversation), which this year starts on February 6th. Before then there's the Jingle RAG on 9th December, and many more charitable events in between... All proceeds from the events, along with all the money you kind, generous and enthusiastic people will (hopefully) raise, will be going towards our chosen charities, which this year include: Medicinema, The Evelina Children's Hospital, The Neonatal Unit at St Thomas' Hospital and selected charities represented by KCL societies.

So give us a try- it's a chance to make a real difference to other peoples' lives, which we suspect many of you dutiful citizens will have mentioned in your personal statements... We promise you won't regret it!
