SUCCESS!

VOTE YES!

Vote ‘YES’ in the referendum and save GKT/KCLMS sports teams from an uncertain future and the danger of forced mergers with King’s teams.
Should KCLSU continue to support separate KCLMS and KCL sports clubs?
YES!

A ‘YES’ vote, secures places in clubs and teams for more players and upholds a long tradition of friendly rivalry and healthy competition, respecting the roots of both the Medical and non-Medical schools at King’s.

See both sides of the argument at: www.kclsu.org/sportvote

JINGLE RAG A ROARING SUCCESS

They've only gone and bloody well done it!

The first collection day (plus afterparty) in this academic year's RAG efforts have raised a phenomenal £16196.05.

This was due to brilliant efforts from 131 RAGgers, this years committee and everyone who turned up to celebrate into the night - so well done to you all.

The fantastic charities that RAG is supporting this year (Medicinema, The Evelina Children's Hospital, The Neonatal Unit at St Thomas' Hospital and selected charities represented by some incredibly worthy student activity groups) should be pretty happy with that and will no doubt be eagerly awaiting a similarly succesful RAG week, from Monday 6th February 2012 (be there, or be rubbish).

Well done RAG!

URGENT Without separate teams, we;d have no Macadam Cup! URGENT Without separate teams, we;d have no Macadam Cup!

VOTE, VOTE, VOTE this Tuesday for the safety of GKT/KCLMS teams!

The KCLSU Members' Meeting (if you're a King's student, you're a member and therefore eligible to attend) is taking place on Tuesday 15th November, 2011 6pm-8pm in Lecture Theatre B5 at the Waterloo Campus. At this meeting, there will be a discussion and vote on whether to have a referendum about merging of GKT teams with the rest of King's.

A referendum would allow a definitive decision, once and for all, as to whether merging of the teams happens or not. This is our chance to make it clear that we are NOT for merging and that GKT/KCLMS teams wish to remain independent from the Strand teams.

A good turn out at this meeting means we can vote in favour of a referendum taking place (rather than the motion being ignored by those with no interest in GKT matters) in order for us to get some lasting safety from the lingering threat of merging. Merging means fewer places for medics, dentists and health sciences students on university sports teams and it also means NO MACADAM CUP!

So please, please make it down to Waterloo on Tuesday night and get this matter put to the vote so we can sort it out and save ourselves from merging once and for all. Democracy and all that.
